	Story Behind the Song Why do you listen to music? Is it to know you are not alone, to gain affirmation? That’s why I do and that’s the theme which runs through out my CD. “You Are the Reason” is a true pop ballad a la Celine or Christina. The song was originally written for an Indian film. While I was living in London, a friend and scriptwriter well versed in modern Indian cinema said “you must hear the song; it has real potential”. After months of chasing everyone from the film distributors to managers to the composer (a member of the 80s Australian pop band Air Supply) finally I was allowed to record it. The challenge was to take a film-oriented song and transform it into a current-sounding pop one. The production took over six months and survived a trip across the pond from London to New York. Several recording studios, producers and singing lessons later, a cool arrangement with added lyrics and sweet sensual vocals blossomed into a moving ballad. This was the first real song I cut in a studio and so it’s special since I ended my virginity and naivet� of the recording process with the birth of this tune. Listen and share what you think!
