Marc and I really wanted to keep the beauty of the song musically but bring it up to date by setting the conversation in a more contemporary setting (a bar). And, then we changed the parts because let's face it roles have changed. Everyone has run into that certain someone unexpectedly and has had to make the decision of whether to stay or... , well in those cases, the only decision is to stay -- come what may. | MP3.com CD: This Satin Doll - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
Marc and I did this song without any real intention of using it or recording it but we had so much fun doing it that it stuck in the back of our minds. The big hurdle was convincing Marc to record it because he doesn't sing (or so he says). Now we're both glad we did. We did 6 takes of it and loved each one. They were all different because we didn't plan our "conversation" or phrasing we just did it. It was really hard to choose one to "release" cuz they all had their own style.
Lyrics
