	Story Behind the Song The song was written in 1992. The motivation for writing the song was very basic. I (Aleata) had been calling a friend of mine for weeks and could not get in touch with him, and he did not return my calls. I valued the friendship and the situation moved me so much that I had to write about it. I wrote the lyrics and music at my Mom's house. Suprisingly it did not take very long to write the song. The lyrics, melody, keyboard, and bass parts just kind of flowed. I'd say a solid foundation of the song was written in several hours or less.
