    Story Behind the Song
The song (in it's original form) was written over two months, with little bits being added here and there...originally intended as an ambient chill out track that was going to be instrumental. It developed when the chorus tag "give me a reason" came into my head. The first verse soon followed, I then passed the buck to Jo who very kindly wrote the second verse...I have to stress at this point that they don't mean anything. Recording of vocals was done in a ProTools suite at Northbrook College in Worthing. These files were saved to zip and transfered to my studio where I promptly re-wrote the whole the song so that it could be played live.

    Lyrics
    In this dark sacred place,
All I see is haunted face.
Went to run but fell away,
    Ready for another day.
Day may come, and night may go,
All of the things I thought I know.
    I’m not scared just insecure,
    Loving you is the reward.

    So give me a reason,
    Why we’re all the same.
    And give me a reason,
Why there’s no one else to blame.

    In my mind, I transcend,
All the memories seem to blend.
In the distance see the light.
But every day falls into night,
We may come and we may go,
Forget all of the things I used to know.
I’m not scared of feeling pain,
If loving you is all the gain.

    So give me a reason,
    Why we’re all the same.
    And give me a reason,
Why there’s no one else to blame.
