An acoustic rock song, with an electric edge. About a mystery that never became clear. About something that is probably better off having not happened. |

Story Behind the Song
Started as a hypothetical, general song, but soon became more focused and began to mirror events that were going on in my life. Listen closely, and I'm sure that you can figure it out.
Lyrics
I look in your eyes
And there I see
Somethin’ lookin’ at me.
I don’t know what it is,
That’s the truth
But I certainly know that its not you.
Looking at me
A way u never did
Suddenly I feel like just a kid
Getting excited about the littlest thing
I’m ready to soar….
Soar on golden wings.
Soar on golden wings
It is somewhat of a mystery
I don’t know exactly what is
That I see.
Little bit of this
And a little bit of that.
A mix of emotions,
Now it’s just causin’ a big commotion.
How do you feel,
Is it the way you act or what I see in your eyes…
Which one is real?
Which one is real?
Don’t know what is real.
I don’t know what to believe
I don’t know how to perceive it.
Is what you say what you mean
Cause so far that ain’t what I’ve seen.
Now as time goes on
I think about it
Every night and day.
Would it have been good
Or would it have been bad,
We’ll never know either way.
I think we’re better off like this,
If we never had something, that’s something we won’t miss.
I feel free, I’m so happy I could
I’m ready to soar…
Soar on golden wings.
Soar on golden wings.
Soar away from here.
I don’t know what to believe
I don’t know how to perceive it.
Is what you say what you mean
Cause so far that ain’t what I’ve seen.
I don’t know what to believe
I don’t know how to perceive it.
Is what you say what you mean
Cause so far that ain’t what I’ve seen.
Is what you say what you mean
I don’t know what to believe.
Is what you say what you mean
Cause so far that ain’t what I’ve seen.
