	Story Behind the Song Recorded shortly after a close friend passed away, making me realize that we do not have forever to get where we want to be. It took about 4 hours to record and was completely improvised based on a melody for the chorus I had written about a year before. Won 2nd place in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Electronica Category 2000. Lyrics Why wait You explain but it's too late You fold the minute that you speak Use your mind The environment may not be kind But at least you won't appear as weak And I feel different What I see destroys me I can't change people who don't want to change but this Patience wears thin, you'll see Throw aside what you don't understand this time Don't you think this will catch up in the end Progress made is not by those who "wake up" late or cannot speak up for themselves.
