Lyrics
Dr. Leroy Applebaum derived his master plan
To pass along his freakish gift and populate a clan
Of superhuman capacity to think and to create
And speed along man's progress to an elevated state
His body normal size at birth, though three months past date due
But for his head, his doctors said, which doubled in the womb
His brain was equally immense, his aptitude so vast
A Nobel Prize was in his hands 'fore puberty had passed
Life among the uninformed had led him down the road
Of extreme research studies and experiments untold
Though fact would prove his findings would someday change the world
Leroy's theories so advanced, his colleagues heads would swirl
He took the profits from his many medical breakthroughs
To build himself a private lab no distraction could come to
He stocked his cave with food supply to last him several years
And closed himself off from the world with a final turn of gears
He focused on the petri dish for growth to first begin
Developing reproductive cells from slices of his skin
It took some time to see progress of Leroy's future ranks
In the time it took to grow he built amniotic tanks
Once the eggs had fertilized to an appropriate size
Leroy planted each in synthetic wombs to start their lives
He birthed them after twelve months and was pleased with his success
Their brains equaled his at birth, though all looked different, more or less
CHORUS:
It's a simple case of mutated evolution
Symptoms of disease and inferior complexion
Insurance claims and vulgar names an everyday affair
Hazards of occupation living in a research lair
Over the next several weeks the doctor finalized his scheme
And one by one took infants to adoption agencies
He planted these seeds of wisdom wide, from coast to other coast
To sit back and watch his children grow, and who would do the most
Tracking progress without fail, meticulously precise
He learned of each one's reproduction and the spread of his device
In the end Leroy was right, his spawn rose to lead the world
His give to human progress equally anonymous and bold
CHORUS x2
