Story Behind the Song
This is another breakup song, I know I have alot of them. But this one was me convincing myself that life was still good without her.
Interesting side note:
This is one of the few songs on the album that has any sexual connotation at all.
"Everyday, you give away, things for which I pray."
Another intersting side note:
I consider the "G" chord to be the happiest chord on the guitar.
Lyrics
It's like a "G" chord, on a sunny day.
It's like you tell her how you feel, and she says she feels the same way.
It's like lemonade, that you made, with real lemons, at least that's what the package said but...
Everyday, you run away, from things you used to love, and...
Everyday, you give away, things for which I pray.
It's like, a new car, every other day.
It's like you thought that she would leave you, but she says she'll always stay.
It's like everyone at work, thinks you're absolutely great.
It doesn't feel like work, but every Friday you get paid, but...
Everyday, you run away, from things you used to love, and...
Everyday, you give away, things for which I pray....
I wonder how long this can last...
I've been living my whole life, dwelling in the past...
Days gone by, years gone by, still I'll never forget.
I guess I haven't yet...
Everyday, you run away, from things you used to love, and...
Everyday, you give away, things for which I pray...
