Story Behind the Song
True Blue:
It had been a long drive for Rick and Ron from Minneapolis, to our small recording studio in Mishicot Wisconsin. After a long day of recording the Boys decide to head out to have a meal together at a great place over-looking Lake Michigan, then It was back to the studio till well past midnight. Things were pretty much winding down, and we were kicked back having a beer. It didn't take long for Vernie to get just a bit antsie, and soon started strumming chords on his Strat, from a piece he had been working on previously. I knew Rick was really shot and ready to call it a day, but he couldn't resist when he heard the melody, and quickly jumped back on the V Skins. Ron picked up his flute and I jumped back on my bass. That was probably the best piece of music for the entire session.
