    Story Behind the Song
The motovation for this song is a dream that millions have dreamed but only a few have lived. The dream of making it to the World Series. The whole season coming down to one at bat in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. Standing at the plate with a bat and the world on your shoulders. Do you move on or go home? Dream on!

    Lyrics
    Baseball time is here again
    The frost has disappeared
We cut the grass and chalk the lines
The start of a new year
Every team still has a chance
    This dream will never stop
We battle through these early days
    To stay among the top

The summer days are long and hard
They start to take their toll
    Hearts are making promises
    A battle for your soul
    July arrives, the halfway point
You see just where you stand
    Fireworks are in the air
The All Star game's at hand

    We live this dream
Since we were kids it's been the same
    We hear the screams
And the people cheer our names
We do our best and give our all
To try and make it to the fall
To make the best of all our swings
    To be October Kings

The sun is sitting lower now
And the days are growing short
    Desperation's in the air
That's the nature of our sport
    Every hit is priceless
Steal a base and take a chance
If things go right this harvest night
We just might make the dance

    Frost is on the pumpkins
See your breath float on the air
Teams have fallen by the side
    Yet, you're still standing there.
It all comes down to one at bat
To move on or go home
You're standing at the plate my friend
    You feel so all alone

    We live this dream
Since we were kids it's been the same
    We hear the screams
And the people cheer our names
We do our best and give our all
To try and make it to the fall
To make the best of all our swings
    To be October Kings
