	Story Behind the Song This particular stunner of a song occurred to me quite naturally whilst trying to write a song of a completely opposite effect, "Pay Attention, Sister Mary Elephant". My natural melancholy apparently wasn't through with me for the day, and as a result of this and many hours and late nights spent reading over recent research of Norma Jeane Baker's life, this surfaced. I'm very proud to say that I believe this is one of the songs i'm most proud of. The recording was done briefly, in the most raw and tragic manner possible, in regard to the content of its lyrics."
