Story Behind the Song
This song was written as a criticism of Albertan narrow-mindedness and xenophobia, but it ended up striking a chord with the national ethos, and some people take it far too seriously.
We were in Toronto in April 2001, doing a play, and we met some old friends in a band called "Renslip", who played the music in Toronto, then we took the files back to Edmonton and added the vocals. Truly a Multi-provincial collaboration.
For the record, Toronto doesn't suck, but their newspaper critics sure as hell do.
Lyrics
ahhh... figure 'em out yerself.
