The sad tale of a cow who doesn't want to eaten |
|
Story Behind the Song
When I was 14, I worked bagging groceries at a health food store....hey.....Stop laughing!......Anyway, I got bored and started making up little songs in my head. There was this one tune that I couldn't get out of my head. It was only logical that it would be a song about a cow. After all, I had spent the better part of the day bagging processed beef.....(chics dig guys who bag processed beef)........A few days later I finnished the song and put it on paper.
It was later recorded at a friend's dorm in Massachusetts and posted on this site for two years before I decided it was time to re-record it......basically because I have no life. The new version was recorded in my bedroom, in an appartment here in Fridley, MN. (very high tech) But I have nothing better to do with my time than entertain the world......so.......here you go......enjoy!
Lyrics
(VERSE 1)
I'm just a cow
I grew up on a farm
I was raised in a barn
I grew up eating grass
I'm just a cow
Never hurt anyone
I just stand here and chew my cudd
I'm too young to die
(CHORUS)
I'm just a cow,
'Give you milk for your butter
Just a cow
Four stomachs, one utter
My thighs are too fat, I eat too much hay
I wouldn't taste good to you anyway
Please spare my life, I'm beggin' you now
Put down that knife, I'm just a cow
(VERSE 2)
I don't want to be a happy meal
Can't you tell how I feel?
I think I'm gonna cry
Oh, Please take my friend the Yak
He would make such a lovely snack
He'll go better with fries
(BRIDGE)
I'm nobody's Whopper
I aint no Big Mac
If you eat me I might give you a heart attack
I'll clog your arteries and when I'm through
A tripple bi-pass may be in store for you
Please don't eat me, moo, Moo, MOO!!!!!!
