	Story Behind the Song Apathy is about feeling. It is about how when you are completely and totally emotionally invested in something, sometimes it is so draining that all you are left with is nothing. This is a song about feeling so lathargic and dead from thinking, that you can hardly make yourself move. The underlying message is that there is a period in which you must lick your wounds, but after that, you have to move on: "Self-pity is a dangerous past time/what's just sorrow/and what crosses over the line" This is NOT just a song about love. This is a song about overcoming all emotional barriers that you might face and eventually finding the strength to at least realize that it won't always be like this.
