	Story Behind the Song We originally wrote this as an instrumental back in 1999. We auditioned a new vocalist for the band 1/2002 & he wrote these lyrics. We liked him & we liked the lyrics. He's in the band now. This is a song about not being happy with what the world has to offer. Despite all the mistakes we make, God still loves each and every one of us. Lyrics "Mitchell was a man with a beer in his hand, a big bad detective with a mediocre tan, out to solve a murder & find some heroin, sleeping with the hottest chick in all the land... But Mitchell was sad... And the bad guys were bad... Despite all the stuff that he had... Poor Mitchell was sad... I know a Mitchell. Don't you know a Mitchell? We all know Mitchells. The world's full of Mitchells. Mitchell! Mitchell! Mitchell! (several times) 1234! Mitchell was a slob, but still a heart throb. When he came to doors he never used the knob. He liked to yell at kids, sometimes he had to rob. But don't call him a jerk, it's just part of his job. But Mitchell was sad... And the bad guys were bad... Despite all the stuff that he had...
