	Story Behind the Song I wrote this song about 8 years ago sitting on the porch of my wife's (fiancé at the time) Grandmothers house in Maryland. I sat there with my acoustic guitar watching a storm roll in and it just flowed from there. The first 90% of the intro is played using only one chord and just changing how and where it is picked. I had never forgotten the song but just never really played it until I was driving home from work one day last month and there was a storm rolling in and it just seemed like the same temperature, smell and feel of that day in Maryland. I hurried home and set up my mike to record the rain as it started. I used it for the background of the intro to give the guitar the same background ambiance that it had when I wrote the song. At 7 minutes long it is the longest song I have ever recorded and it is a big download but it is also one of my favorites.
