This upbeat fun song combines jazz, blues and a twinge of country all in one. Momma's country inn talks about the sweet simplicity of the 'down to earth ' things of yesteryear. |

Story Behind the Song
This was once again an attempt to capture the innocence of a 'down home' cooked meal using Bisquik. It turned out to be a 'love your family the way the good book says' song.
Lyrics
Momma's country inn is Daddy's favorite thing from the moment he walks into the door... Bread and bisquits cookin' Momma tender lookin' nothin' like it anymore... He just went out that back way and 'round to his own front door...
Customers are comin', momma's always runnin' to faces that we already knew, and the best is never missin' 'cause poppa's always singin' country hymns we knew from long ago.
Hey, hey come on and gather, come on and gather at the river, come on and lay all of your burdens down, friend if you're tired and weary, I know someone that will carry the load, we're children we're pilgrims on a narrow road.
Times they're a changin' know that God's arranging things that we've never seen...
bisquits and a gravy, like hopin' and a prayin' say again He's got the victory...
