In 2 Timothy chapter 4, The Apostle Paul wrote "I have fought a
good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness..."
That's the verse I was thinking of when I wrote this song. Keep on fightin' the good fight, don't let the devil win says the song.
