Lyrics: Anthony. Music: Roger. Producer: Anthony Morone Recorded by: Charlie & Ernie at Suburban Soul. This song is mainly about the fear of death.

    Story Behind the Song
This song is an altered version of the song "Somebody's Gotta Be A Man" by Pete and Roger's old band Burning Strong. Anthony wanted to put another song on the record, and everyone always had fun playing this song at practice, so they decided to record it. This is the only song that Roger played in the studio (guitars) and the only song that Pete played drums on.
It was recorded in the studio with the same basic music as the original version (except maybe for some altered drumming). Completely new lyrics were written the day that vocals were to be recorded. When Anthony brought home the unmixed version he was very unhappy with the sound. The breakdown sounded to "punk rock" to match the much heavier vocals in this version of the song and the vocals were rather drab. Roger came up with a new breakdown riff that had the same timing, and it was decided to go back into the studio to fix it. Roger recorded the new riff, then tought it to bassist Eddy Kane as soon as he came in. Then he recorded his part. Anthony then went in to fix a few vocals and ended up re-recording every line except for two and adding new vocal "screams" in the beginning, replacing the pretty awful sounding vocals he'd recorded earlier.
Oh yea, and that's Pete yelling "Let's Go Motherfuckers!" before the breakdown.

    Eternity as Dust
    Lyrics: Anthony Music: Roger

    Live Life Just To Die

    I can’t sleep at night
    Knowing that I might
    Not see another day

    A quarter of my life
    I’m a quarter gone
    A quarter towards my
    Eternity as dust

    Eternity as dust

Once I fucking die I am fucking gone
I do not believe in God or in living on
And in the end we’re all forgotten
Bodies decay & the world moves on
And the only thing I do is lay still
    And un-exist

    Eternity as dust

    I can’t sleep at night
    Knowing that I might
    Not see another day

    Centuries of Death
    Lay below my feet
    The only remains
    Of forgotten life

    Eternity as dust
