Story Behind the Song
The idea for "The Point" came to LINGUS when Bart and Saul were down in Haiti at Requiem Studios South banging your mother like a plastic inflatable shag doll between recording sessions and practicing black voodoo magic on our enemies.
Lyrics
Sleep, like drowning in honey,
let's me hear their voices ringing out. Words to sound, sound to noise,
logic reduces to nothing.
Mind void, filled with a bloated sense of self,
spewing verbal diarrhea like a sugared up 7 year old.
The answer lies on the tip of my tounge,
I'm never quite able to quantify.
If I knew what I was saying,
I'd probably have a point
(and I think that was it).
You! You wonder why you fall
when you jump on your balsa wood soap box. If your your toungue fell out,
you'd probably make more sense.
The answer lies on the tip of my tounge,
I'm never quite able to quantify.
If I knew what I was saying,
I'd probably have a point
(and I think that was it).
