Miss Anthropy at their peak. The last and probably best song we wrote together. This is not a great recording, but it's the only one that exists. |

Story Behind the Song
this song came about towards the very end of miss anthropy. we only played it a few times, but i think this was one of the better ones. The lyrics relate to the culture of forgiveness and how horrible misdeeds or actions can be seemingly cleaned from the proverbial slate. but regardless time can not be erased and it always exists- even if it's forgotten or forgiven
Lyrics
considerate
he does the things he does because he loves you
too much
scars eyes can't see
touch the smile
in a dream
pay in full for innocence
a distant dream.
A local dream
simplistic,shattered, lost
the crime of being pure
the crime of doing nothing
irresponsible
handgun, handshake
but...bang
sorry,done, forgetten
no choice but to forgive me
forget the monster in the closet
although he slaughtered a village
he was never there
repent, to start over again
repeating your mistakes
and denying that they were mistakes
people change?
whoever said you were a person?
the eyes decieve
because you can never see close enough
and scars never heal
and the past IS obsolete
with a handgun,handshake
