"I was suddenly hit with all of the emotion and detail of the dream: fear of success, the paralyzing doubt that I have to battle every day, and a very important message that a person gave to me in my dream - to find what I love and stick with it, whether it be music or another person." |

Story Behind the Song
"This is one of the many songs that I wrote in my cube during my summer job. I had a dream the night before, which I had forgotten about most of the morning after. But while I was sitting in my cube, I was suddenly hit with all of the emotion and detail of the dream: fear of success, the paralyzing doubt that I have to battle every day, and a very important message that a person gave to me in my dream - to find what I love and stick with it, whether it be music or another person."
Lyrics
Hey Paul

Paul where did you go?
I saw you standing in the light.
Saw you gaze my way. Oh I was frightened
By the the sound of your song.
Paul where are you after night is gone?
Hiding in the back of my tainted mind
You sleep inside a corner
Sleep way behind me
Seduce me, attract me, serenade me.
I know I've been so bad.
Chorus:
Hey Paul, where did you run to?
Hey Paul, I really need you.
Hey Paul, where did you run to?
I need to be close to you now.
Paul where did you go
After you kissed my neck.
You held me up in France. Oh how I let you....
Tell me I'll be
Everything to the world
I can be all you need.
Chorus
Bridge:
But I've never been to France
And I've never seen you cry
I'll only hear your song
Until the day I die.
But now I sit up in bed it was just a dream
And as I let the water run over my skin
I remember
What you sang to me
I remember
How I let you in.
Chorus
