	Story Behind the Song The first song Beaver ever recorded for public consumption. The version of A-K-Q that appears on Mutations is arguably some of our best work. It sums up everything right about our band -- the blending of electric guitar and tenor saxophone, playful, clever lyrics decidedly unfair to women and a hook that will not leave the listener's head. A-K-Q was written after a night of hard euchre at Sadler Hall at Syracuse University. The question arose -- what would you do if you had three girls chasing you who were not heinous trolls, but nor supermodel scientists? In euchre the three "average" cards are the ace, king and queen. So we wrote a song around this parallel. I do not personally know the answer to this question, although Sarinthra Tong-ngork from Syracuse, NY maintains when asked, "what do you do with A-K-Q?" one should "pick it up and go alone." Lyrics I had three girls in the palm of my hand not the prettiest nor the worst in the land one could cook, one kinda a joker the other one less than mediocre I got to choose but I know I can't I got to pick but I know I shan't if playing cards, don't know what I'd do what do you do with A-K-Q? what do you do with A-K-Q? what do you do when they just don't do it for you what do you do with A-K-Q? when the day you live with them is a day you'll always rue? if I choose the cook for my play she might get up and run away then I would have nobody to feed she'd break my heart and make it bleed but if I choose the joker as my mate we'd laugh a lot, it would be so great but when she starts joking with another I'll be saying to myself, "Oh brother" so if I choose the plain girl my life won't be much of a whirl how will she excite my unit? if willy doesn't rise I will surely ruin it I got to choose but I know I can't I got to pick but I know I shan't if playing cards don't know what I'd do what do you do with A-K-Q? what do you do with A-K-Q? when the day you live with them is a day you'll always rue!
