	Story Behind the Song Materialism,envy, and basically getting caught up in the stuff of this world is the underlying theme behind this one, in that we see it everywhere, every day. The song was written in 1996 when a serious transition was taking place in my life in the realization that "things" don't fulfill people's lives - only God can, and that is what "Go Home" is all about! I recorded the song in studio as I was still recovering from bronchitis, and was afraid the vocals would come out horrible, but it actually added a roughness-like quality that took me vocally to a place where I normally didn't go! Lyrics well I see you've made you're mark got all the finer things and the little toys but are you really happy lookin' at the world from inside your crystal ball? you're trapped inside desire and you don't know how to break free well maybe i am wrong but i tell you what i see... (chorus)how far will you take it how long can it go on how far will you have to run before you find you're way home how much will be enough how long will you drag it on how far will be too far before you find it's too late to go home?... so you say you've found the life livin' in the fast lane with all your pretty boys... but do you ever stop to think that it might not be the world you were lookin' for... you're blinded by the lights and you don't think nothin' of it well maybe it's what you need to bring you back into reality...(chorus)(bridge) inside of your dizzy head i know you're spinnin' 'round your mind is playin' games with you don't you want to slow it down?
