Story Behind the Song
I composed this song in Mainz/Europe/Germany
about 1978.
It was named "Corrour Summit" after a small
railway station in the Scottish Highlands
around where I spent a couple of nice days
with a tent on a very small island in a lake
in 1978 or ī79.
I dedicated this piece of music to the land,
landscape and the people of Scotland on the
occasion of the establishment of the new
Scottish Parliament in 1999 after almost
300 years without.
I want to apologize for the bad recording
quality, but considering the above-mentioned topical event I desired to make this tune popular not too late after it had happened.
This is the best version available at the time and especially in this case I think the music is necessary rather than itīs
recording quality.
Recorded in Hannover,
Gereon Richter: pitch-shifted guitar,
synthesizer wind
Fjedor Bil : bass
David Blanke : drums
