	Story Behind the Song This is a song Steve and I wrote back in 1998. Steve originally brought the music track to me, requesting that I add lyric and melosy. I had been listening to a lot of Elvis Costello (in my opinion, the best lyricist ever) and had been struck by the power and depth of his song "Almost Blue". I thought, "Well, what if you took that one step further, removed some of the ambiguity? Wouldn't that make one "absolutely" blue?" The image of the woman left behind, at the depth of her despair, haunted me. Absolutely blue, indeed.
