	Story Behind the Song The story is obvious, I'd never written a blues tune before because I believe you have to suffer to have the blues. I guess I finally suffered enough so I wrote Better Beat. Most of the blues tunes I've heard were always on the down side so I decided to write one with a positive edge. This recording was made with a band I was in (Something Blue) in 1988. It was recorded in a home studio on an Otari eight track in one take. I wrote Better Beat in the early 80's. Lyrics Verse 1 There ain't nothin' I can sing about It's all been sung before Everything I use to know, Has done gone out the door. I Been to the Mountain tops To see what I could see, Been to the desert hot Searching for that mystery. Everytime I turn around I find myself on the ground, Gettin back on my feet Lookin for a better Beat. (you get the idea)
