    Story Behind the Song
The motivation for all puddydawg songs is to show that Christians need to love one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, with the same love the Father loves all His children. We believe that God will bless us by working together for each others's good, instead of competing with one another. Please support Christian unity in Jesus by recording your own voice on the instrumental version of this song, and using it on your own CD's.

Praise God for every day and every way in which we walk with Jesus, together in brotherly love with other children of God, of all Christian denominations and groups!!!

Why, because scripture tells us that there is much to rejoice about when we find unity together with our brethren in Christian unity of all believers.

Psalms 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

The oil here is the oil of the annointing, that is the outward signification of "chosen" status. "Christ" means "the annointed one". If the body of Christ is one, comprised of brethren dwelling together in unity in Him, do you suppose God might be willing to confirm the annointed status of the whole body that becomes together as one in Christ and in His name?
John 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

And what does "Zion" have to do with it? Does "Zion" or "Jerusalem" have any spiritual significance to us Christians today?
Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Joel 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Micah 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Zechariah 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God
Matthew 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
John 12:15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

So why not rejoice every time we find examples agreement with our brethren about the unity of all believers to repentance in Christ?

Psalms 122:1 A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. 2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: 4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. 11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. 12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

Whose righteousness? His, looking down from heaven, given freely to whosever believes in Jesus' name!
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

And peace where? Springing forth from believers here on earth, who in peace are agreed together in the truth of God's mercy that gives righteousness equally to all believers to repentance in Him!

Righteousness and peace in love with *all* our brethren in Christ, believers that are in all Christian denominations and groups...that's what God's kingdom is all about, being righteous as He is righteous, by repenting from sin and taking our stand as being the righteousness of God that He freely gives to us by grace together in love of all our brethren in Jesus.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1 John 310 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Righteousness and peace that is acceptable to God, and approved of men...hmmm...where have we heard that before? John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Is that what the kingdom of God is, righteousness and peace, in Christian unity? Why seek that? Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In Jesus' name, God unite us. Love in Jesus to all!!! See link:

    Lyrics
    Lyrics to Psalms 133

    (How good it is)
    (When brothers dwell as one)

    1.
How good and pleasant it is
    when brothers dwell in unity,
It's like the dew that falls from heaven,
On the mountains, and on the sea,

    And it's like the rain,
The Latter Rain of Joel, in revival,
In the truth and in the spirit,
In the Spirit of God's love,

Love for all believers it was Jesus,
Who came down from God to save us,
Saved in His love, and tender mercy
for every one. (who knows that Jesus is God)

    (When brothers dwell as one)

    2.
How good to walk with God
In His love for all His family, like it's supposed to be,
Loving our life in Him, more than our own life,
Loving all who know, God walks with us here below.

    Loving each child of God,
To show the world why He came here, how He lived and died (for you and me)
That we may live a new life, In God we know, (and not alone),
That's how we know that no matter, no matter how things go,

We go with God (we go with God),
and show His love (and show His love) so all may know,
Jesus gives all the love, of God, to who-soever will believe
    Our Father loves us so.

    (When brothers dwell as one)

    3.
How good and pleasant it is
    when brothers dwell in unity,
It's like the dew that falls from heaven,
Down the mountains, filling up the seas,

And it's like the precious flow
Of the anointing oil of Christ, (precious oil),
To show the world that He is chosen as the perfect vessel,
To hold the full-ness of God's love,

Love for whosever will, believe that on-ly Jesus can,
Show Himself to the world, the perfect man,
The Father's o-only begotten, Son and Per-er-fect Love,
Per-er-fect Love, of God to man!
    (Praise God's Perfect Love)

I hope to hear from you guys real soon!! I absolutely can't wait to hear
    you guys sing it!!!!

    Love in Jesus,
    Tim
