"Symphony in One Movement" genre: Experimental Classical

	The piece is composed for large orchestra and has a duration of twelve minutes. It comprises three connected but distinct sections, whose contrasts suggest individual movements. Each section is based on a traditional formal structure: sonata, passacaglia, and rondo-variations. The intention was to acknowledge the traditional symphony through these formal structures while applying more modern approaches to elements such as harmony, melody, and rhythm.
	Story Behind the Song This piece was composed as part of my Masters degree thesis in composition. I did this electronic realization using a combination of MIDI and live instruments. All of the non-pitched percussion was played live. Other live parts include saxophone, clarinet, oboe, and trumpet. As of now this piece has not been performed by an actual orchestra.
