Story Behind the Song
I wrote this song after hearing my very funny and angry friend Don in residence come out of his room saying, " I'm angry! And lonely" The funniness was very much on purpose, so don't get thinking this is some sappy cornball guy.
Well, I just died laughing. Then he said," We should start a club, like angry loner's anonymous."
Well, I didn't start a club but I did write a song.
Lyrics
Lock yourself up in your room
No one around for a while
You’re shell’s gonna collapse in soon
If you don’t learn to smile
Angry Loners Anonymous, why don’t you give us a call?
Get a grip on yourself before you build up that wall
Angry Loners stroking their boners
With no one around to help
And guys don’t count
Eating at the table
Alone in a crowded hall
Filling your ladle
You know you can’t avoid a fall
You think about sex much too often
You’d be more content if those images you’d soften
Get out of bed think of what I’ve said
Shake the sleep from your heavy head
You could give us a call instead..
Angry Loners Anonymous, you really should give us a call
We’ll help you tear down that fearful wall
Angry Loners stroking their boners
With no one to give us head
And guys still don’t count.
Look at that, we’ve built a business, secured a clientele
But that’s not the point, we’d be broke if the world was well
Scared and shy, do you still wonder why you’ve got no friends?
Maybe if you’d talk to someone, this all would end…
(Chorus out)
