	Story Behind the Song A friend of mine asked me ages ago if I could write a new tune to the words of the old prayer "God be in my head" . She said she liked the words because they were deep, but hated the tune. Eventually, about a year later, on a rainy day, inspiration struck. When we got around to recording the vocals Helen's voice sounded so perfect on its own that I never even bothered recording my voice. Lyrics God be in my head, and in my understanding God be in my eyes, and in my looking and in my looking. God be in my mouth and in my speaking. God be in my heart and in my thinking. God be in my head (etc)... God be at my end and at my leaving.
