Here’s where things slow down, get serious, and take a tone of solitude. Pretty straightforward. A really unique sounding bell/string/organ blend synth line plays the main melody, looping only once through the entire length of the song; a loud, reverbed moderately paced drum line plays alongside; a few faint square-waves lightly touch upon the top; a reversed, fading chord pans the ear span; and a thick, murky, synthetic cello provides the foundation.

Story Behind the Song
In October I met a girl who completely blew me away. She was one of those rare creations that please every sense from the moment she meets your eye. So of course I decided to pursue her, but soon after we had met a good friend of mine had stepped in my way. I felt betrayed but guilty because he had known her much longer than I did and he seemed to have the right. For the course of a few months I still longed for her, all the while feeling guilty for wanting my best friend’s woman. This song was written about that time. A short while after this song was written the two of them broke up and I finally had my chance. The time that we were together was probably the best few weeks I’d had in years. I thought I was the one who messed it up, but in the end I realized that it didn’t work out because she thought she had the prerogative to change her mind whenever she pleased, regardless of the outcome.
