Originally intended as a lullaby for my daughter, this tune has taken a life all it's own. This recording is done live, there are no overdubs, the only editing has been the removing of the "building" of the loop patterns at the begining of the piece. |

Story Behind the Song
Originally intended as a lullaby for my daughter, this is a now a staple of my live performances. The recording is done live, without overdubs, in the studio. There are a few looped bass parts running through this tune; two chordal parts which are looped on different banks of the Lexicon JamMan, and switched to provide the A/B sections of the song, and several short loops which are "played" from the DL4 to provide harmony and cadences to the melody of the tune being played to the loops. Quite a juggling act to pull off, really! The chordal sections and main melody were composed in tandem as I watched my infant daughter napping away one afternoon. The song really wrote itself.
