A song about America's hypocricy in starting a war against Afghanistan. Well someone needed to say it.
CD: 4 Steps To Hypocrisy   Label: self-released
Credits: Music: Fallout40; Lyrics: Joe Brown, George W. Bush

    Story Behind the Song
This song was one of 4 tracks recorded on January 31st and February 1st 2002 at Premier Studios in Corby, Northamptonshire in England.

Joe wrote the track about the recent events in Afghanistan. It's about the hypocrisy of America's part in the so called "war on terror".

The song contains a sample of George Bush that was edited by British comedian Chris Morris of Brass Eye infamy. The sample was downloaded from the Warp Records website.

    Lyrics
    Justify this.
Losing the battle without losing the war.
Can we be proud of this?
Redemption becomes just part of the law.

But did you really think it helps
to justify an unjust act by justifying terror
in a war that's meant to stop?
The double standard starts to float away.
    Again.

    But you're here.
But you're here to save the world.
There you are and all that you stand for -
    a hypocrite's statement of war.
    But you're here.
    But you're here.
    But only for yourself.
We're in this together and no one else. No one.

Did you really think it helps
to justify an unjust act by justifying terror
in a war that's meant to stop?
The double standard starts to float away. Again.

    But you're here.
But you're here... to save the world
There you are and all that you stand for -
    a hypocrite's statement of war.
    But you're here.
    But you're here.
    But only for yourself.
We're in this together and no one else.
    No one else.
