fast-rockin', peppy number about ex-girlfriends that pop up like a damn Whack-a-mole (tm) game. One of my favorites of ours, and yours too. |

Story Behind the Song
another unmastered rough mix from our forthcoming CD. I love the way the vocals work in this song, although it took forever to where I could sing it while playing drums (and I still run out of breath doing it live). The best ex-girlfriend lyrics I'll ever write. When we wrote this song was about the point where I started getting really, really psyched about this band.
Lyrics
Talking to myself because you won't talk to me
Never had a say in when you said we're through
Believe me when I tell you I was shocked in to it
Now I'm only glad I didn't have to do it
Takin' it too hard
Everybody makes mistakes
Takin' it too hard
Everybody makes mistakes, goddamn you
So I say goodbye, my friend
Then I say hello again
Diablo centavo
Using people up and then disposing of 'em
Telling everybody and yourself you love 'em
Memories are mothers and I don't want any
But they keep on comin' back just like a bad bad penny
Takin' it too hard
Never gonna take the blame
Everybody knows
You'd need a heart to feel that shame, goddamn you
So I say goodbye my friend
Then I say hello again
Diablo Centavo
Feeling sorry for myself
But it's better than someone else
Diablo centav
