Story Behind the Song
A Political punk rawk song with references to Brian Deneke, a punk rocker that was persecuted and eventually killed because of the way he dressed.
Lyrics
If you knew what I could see in this place that we call a country.
Millions of starving people, they get so many stares.
While others are celebrating "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire"
Chorus:
I try to sleep at night, but I'm too busy dreaming to make this world a better place.
I understand we have our differences, but do we have to kill each other over them?
Brian Deneke looked differently, that apparently is a crime in this country.
Dustin Camp feeling cool behind the wheel, ran over Brian. One more life to steal.
When he was killed it shocked the nation, not that much though, the killer got probabtion.
Kids pulling the trigger on their fellow students.
People murdering for a dollar, whatever pays the rent
Let's listen to the NRA, they know what they're talking about..
Just don't expect them to listen to the gun victims' shouts
