Story Behind the Song
This is one of the first UF songs. It's just about us and not wanting to grow up. This song shows the lighter, softer side of the band and has always been a crowd pleaser.
Lyrics
(chorus)
Remember when we were young.
Remember when we use to play until dawn.
Do you remember then? Remember when.
The times they say are changin'
people's lifes rearangin'
all us youth we've been agein'
all this time you've been stagein'
drama, insomnia, cardiac arrest, heart trauma.
Wars in the east and wars in the west.
Violence everywhere, pulling at my chest.
Messing with my mind, I hope to God I find
a real deal answer to get rid of this cancer.
But I remember times as a kid,
didn't give a fuck about nothing
just did what I did.
Like playing with toys, making lots of noise,
pissing off moms, causing grips of alarms.
I guess ignorance is bliss until you realize this
The world where you live in is small where you fit in (x2)
chorus
MadKryme if you please,
rappin with the greatest of ease.
Flowin on this mic like
George of the Jungle thru the trees.
Swingin' vine to vine
and catching every rhyme
I never lose my time
cuz my mind is on the kind
Kind bud smoking I don't smoke stress
and if you ask me to toke out
you know I'll say yes.
Cuz I'm not a hold out
I like to share my wealth
smoking fat bluntz saying
"here's to your health."
And you know I don't belive in what they're sayin'
And I'm on my hands and knees I'm prayin'
And I don't belive in what they're sayin'
Sayin'
chorus
And do you remember, could you remember,
do you remember when?
And could you remember, do you remember,
could you remember when?
And do you remember, could you remember,
do you remember when?
And could you remember...
chorus
And you know I don't belive in what they're sayin'
And I'm on my hands and knees I'm prayin'
And I don't belive in what they're sayin'
Sayin'
Things don't seem the way that they use to be.
