Story Behind the Song
I was coming off a really depressing job, had lost touch with a lot of friends, and wrote a little song about drinking and life.
The song was engineered by Jeff Horton (WILD DOGS) and produced by Bryce Van Patten and Rick Dudley.
The song is dedicated to Gene Cannon.
Lyrics
See the young man at the bar again today
And he's drinking all his cares away
Another tall one and the problem melts away
He's living in a glass, that's where he wants to stay
He's the Man In A Glass, the man living in a glass
See the old man, living misery
Hard life breeds drinking, and it's meant to be
They tried to sell him their great society
He's living in a glass, that's where he wants to be
He's the Man In A Glass, the man living in a glass
(solo)
Here we are at the bar again today
And we're drinking all our cares away
Another tall one and the problem melts away
We're living in a glass, that's where we want to stay
You're the one in a glass, the one living in a glass
