	Story Behind the Song Sam: The music was inspired when me chad and adam sat down and just started playing a riff that chad had made up and then we just kinda each added one riff after another until we were satisfied with the complete song. Matt: I don't like to say too much about my lyrics, so I'll just say that I have a bad habit of driving late at night and going nowhere in particular. This song was inspired by all the thoughts that went through my head one particular night when I was driving through L.A. listening to the jazz tune "Peace on Earth" by John Coltrane (the influential sax player). Lyrics I'm on the road again on my own again dark skies and empty streets im trying not to head for home these days its getting darker Later i can see the danger were in its four oclock and all is well im all alone night on earth or just here with me as close as i can ever get to a moments pieces of our lives fly by on the side of the road a free country that left us behind and above the moon is full the air is cool and black but times are a changin and now i wonder were you are and if outside your window you can see the sun as it sets on desolation row blood across the skies and blood on the tracks below they say every city has their own you know the only way to get away is to have nowhere to go and go blue trane screaming genius through my speakers almost enough to make me believe the world is a place worth fighting for i can feel it turning beneath my feet can't stop now. im flying to high to turn back and head home. south of heaven i left you behind and alone how far can i go before the darknessfades reality returning and now i wonder can we make it? In my rear view mirror i try to race the sun shining on teh chaos and awakening the fight how far do we have to go to find something that feels right the only way to get there is never to arrive blue trane bleeding inspiration through my soul making it hard to deny a small world is the only distance between us I see it spinning in the sky Peace on earth or just in me As close as we can ever get the moments when we sleep mornings coming i can see where i've been i won't miss you ill never miss you again the sun is rising i haven't slept at all i won't miss it i wouldn't miss it for the world.
