Odd one. It's about once, years ago as a student, sitting in a tent and deciding to change plans, city, course and career. |

Story Behind the Song
It's about being a student (in a tent), deciding to change all plans and even city, to take up teaching. Second verse is about what a nightmare that was! This is about how sometimes we try to reinvent ourselves.
Piano and some clean guitar instrumental - an unplugged sound.
Lyrics
Rise and shine all you bats in my belfry.
Rise and shine on me.
Rise and shine on Frankenstein.
He's all I'll ever be.
FlameDruid pays his rent, sitting in a tent in a garden green. Sirens howl at his mind's old edges, his feet on a ledge unseen.
He makes the break, he breaks the cage, he makes his exit from the stage. Spotlights search the scenery, but they don't get me.
FlameDruid moves away, to fight another day. Demons sneer in shadows queer and there is Hell to pay. He tries to stand, he tries to feel, he lashes himself to the wheel, and off he rides into the black, never to come back.
