In the middle of this tender piano solo, the instrument is transformed by unknown forces into a sort of were-piano, consuming the pianist, who finishes his performance from the beast's gullet. |

Story Behind the Song
The main part of this piece is performed by Paul's old computer playing his digital piano. Many numbers were typed in to primitive MIDI software from 1995 to get the performance to sound human. The middle section of tone clusters was done on a cassette four-track, with the banging chords pasted in later using Cool Edit's multitracker. The innards of a REAL piano are scraped for the sounds near the end of the middle section, and as the solo returns, the sound of the machinery of the four-track can be heard softly.
