	Story Behind the Song This song was written in 1999, but re-tracked on hard-disk in Dec 2001. It took 2-3 hours of recording and mixing. Not a happy/feel-good song. Mostly first takes. The first guitar is actually an acoustic with tremelo and an eq filter on it. Lyrics 'How are you doing, my friend?' "I’ve been better, yeah, things aren’t going well for me. I’m wearing thin, my friend And I’m scared that all this won’t end It’s all right, I can deal with this in time It’ll heal right – I have control of that in my life I choose what’s right, it’s me who has to live with that I’d play it right, but it’s not in my hands So I asked all kinds of questions And I got all kinds of answers A lot didn’t have to be said Follow your heart with some logic and hopefully It’ll be all right, chorus My family’s torn, my friends are done.
