Story Behind the Song
The song originated as an entirely different song years and years ago. About 2 years ago, Ben had completely reworked it with new music and once Evan left, we decided to write new lyrics to fit the content of the rest of the new disc. It features Ben on acoustic and electric guitars, Shaun on upright bass and me (Jon) singing the lead vocals. This version is different than the version that will appear on the CD. It is a composite of two mixes. One with drums and one without. I decided to fiddle with it and shorten it slightly. I yanked out some of the intro and then used the drumless mix for the verses. It's kind of cool. I like it. You?
It pretty much means that one day I realized that everything was all my fault. No matter what. I wrote the words while driving down Route 1 in Peabody after work.
