	A very unique work that explores new melodies and harmonies, without sounding too esoteric. It has its dark and light points, and gives the listener variety from mundane nature songs. It has a story, and takes one away from the real world. A must hear.

	Story Behind the Song This work began as a project for a multimedia class that focused on music technology. I wrote it for two saxophones and synthesizer accompaniment. It was later performed and was entered into a few college song-writing contests. It did well and won state and regional honors. "Themes for Saxophones and Synthesizers" also includes "Visit With An Angel" and "Fanfare for the Unique Man." Journey Utopia is the first in the trilogy. This recording is the synth accomp. only, which stands justly as its own work.
