A mellow, very melodious instrumental combining modern guitar efforts by Jason Stewart with trad guitar licks by his dad, Dick Stewart. Second son, Ritch Stewart's expert bass licks work perfect with Steve Hudgins' masterful drum patterns. This is a great song folks and is one of the tracks in The Knights' newest CD album entitled "In Progression," which is now available at lancerecords.com. For each CD sold, Lance Records will include a four-minute, professionally produced, VHS video of some very cool, wakeboard wipe outs, sound tracked with the title song. (Note: Unlike the compact CD production, this free audio version has not been CD mastered.) |
CD: In Progression
Label: Lance Records 2010
Credits: Dick Stewart - arranger, trad guitar; Jason Stewart - principal composer, arranger, modern guitar; Ritch Stewart - arranger, bass; Steve Hudgins - drummer, chief engineer |
Story Behind the Song
Jason Stewart was first to create this concept and the rest of The Knights offered their individual expressions. Upon hearing it, Dick Stewart's wife, Judi, felt that it had an awakening feel to it. Hence, its name, "Awakening."
