A simple yet beautiful little waltz, written for someone very special to me. our best "simluated orchestra" piece to date, and knocks spots off all those "sound-card classical" jockeys out there. designed using accurate instrument placement and depth for extra realism. |
CD: maybe kokoarrah - don't know yet!

Story Behind the Song
This was written for a dear friend many years ago, and re-recorded this year. Unlike those folks who simply select a string sound and wam it through a midi file (which is flat, pointless and has no life), I prefer to record each track one by one, recreating the exact placement of instruments relative to each other in three dimensional space, as they would appear in a real orchestra. The depth is achieved by use of varying acoustics and wet/dry echo effects. For example. the high strings are "near" the listener, whereas the celeste is far back, to the rear of the orchestra. enjoy!
