	Story Behind the Song I thought a song around a march beat was about right given our nation's current militant frenzy. I started with only the beat and layered the music and lyrics over it. It's all over the place musically... just like my tastes. Lyrics Life seems a little boring In our peaceful little town No one to blame our problems on And no one to single out The dot com down the road a ways Just laid off 100 workers There’s plenty of jobs in the paper though And never enough good people A lot of troops were sitting idle Senators spoke of cutting money About that time our local commie Sent his troops on vacation in Graneda Well we know that our third-rate medical students must be saved! And so we start fighting And all the flags come out It seems that only fighting Can make us see what’s out in the world Beyond our borders There we see there’s lots of anger Wonder why they’re angry at me Don’t they understand that we’re a bastion of freedom Why can’t they be happy They got nice deserts, they have a lot of oil They got neighbors with nukes That we pay to annoy them Who’s this God the terrorists keep talking about? Is it the same God that we say likes our soldiers better? Apparantly the creator Has nothing better to do than run around the world protecting corporate oil interests I guess we just like fighting, Cause all the flags come out And people feel proud Onward Christian soldiers Marching off to war… It seems we really love our fighting… There’s no tribes in America So we have to go overseas If we want anyone pissed off at us And it seems we want people pissed off at us. Yeah We Love To Be Angry...
