Story Behind the Song
What if we stared at the sun until we either melted, or went blind? Thus, finally allowing us to see past aesthetic differences allowing us to cast these differences aside.
Lyrics
We could stare at the sun for just a little while, Or just look into each others eyes,
We could see clearly beyond our horizons, if we both try.
So we sit here in silence as the sun goes down, and we watch it melt into the ground.
And then you ask me to talk you down.
And it’s all in our heads
It’s only an illusion that the whole world seems to have.
(Attack of the killer bees: vocal section interlude.)
They locked away life’s mysteries to hush the flow of inquiries.
Until came those like you and me, questioning our everything.
So when we chose to walk the fence, by questioning our existence,
We stumbled onto common sense, a similar experience.
A new born curiosity, a way to live, a new philosophy.
For you and me
when the birds drop dead, the earth shall quake bringing bloodied oceans, seas, and lakes
and it’s then we realize our mistake,
and we watch our cerebellums shake.
And with this one trait I can relate
For words describe, but don’t translate
Only if we could communicate, this world would be a better place.
Talk me down.
We seem to only think, what we have room to think.
Talk me down
Before I’m cast to space,
like a white dwarf's past life as a star reincarnated into a member of the human race
Talk me down
Now, I could stare at the sun for hours (with you.)
