	Story Behind the Song I was coming up with a story album in my head and the picture of a lone man in a dark room with a knife in his hand popped into my mind. The man is sweating profusely and praying like mad because he knows he shouldn't kill himself. But his emotions have nearly gotten the better of him. He turns to God for strength and turns his life around. The song also reflects some of the problems I have with my own faith. I often feel lacking God's presence in my heart, due to my constant arrogant rejection of his love. It's a very tormenting struggle, almost an endless loop. Also, this song was originally over 8 minutes long. After several listens I realized the song was boring, so I cut out half of the keyboard solos and part of the slow beginning. It's MUCH better now.
