Story Behind the Song
The motivation for this song was a deep depression. The lyrics express hopelessness in a nadir and other feelings associated with it. The song was written in Mississauga. Some of the parts in the song are 5 years old while others are only about7 months old. So, if you use that counts , it actually took 4 years and 5 months to write!
It took about 5 hours to record. Guitars and bass only took about 2 takes each, vocals were re-done about a month later.
Lyrics
All my hope is Dead.
All my hope is Dead.
All black of despair stares back as it devours me whole. Emptiness enveleopes my soul as it bleeds it dry. This disease called life, when will it end? As I search in vain to find the cure.
Endless desperation, Black Revelation.
Contemplating what is left, spoken not and left unsaid. Twisted logic turned askew, an accursed nadir I can't undo. From skin to bone and blood to cells, this is my own living Hell.
(Repeat Verse I)
When will this all end?
Black Revelation.
Falling from aspirations, from once I which once clung. Only to find shadows in the darkness below.
